Care for every pet in your home

We see dogs, cats, birds, exotics and pocket pets, so the whole family can be looked after by one veterinary team at Trumbull Animal Hospital.

  • Two brindle puppies sitting facing each other in fallen autumn leaves

    Dogs

Wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care and surgery for dogs at every life stage, from the first puppy visit to senior care.

  • Grey cat lying on a wooden floor looking upward against a teal background

    Cats

Preventive care built around how cats hide illness, with in-house lab work and digital x-rays when something seems off.

  • Bearded dragon resting in a person's cupped hands

    Birds, exotics and pocket pets

Exams and nutrition advice for birds, reptiles, rabbits and other small pets, suited to each species.

From checkups to surgery, at one hospital

Most visits start with a wellness exam, where we check your pet from nose to tail and talk through what we find in plain terms. If the vet finds something, tests, dental work or surgery can happen here too, and our pharmacy means you can leave with the medication your pet needs.

  • Yellow Labrador lying on grass with a long-haired cat tucked against it

    Wellness Care

At a yearly exam, the vet checks your pet's skin, teeth, heart and joints, then talks through a plan before any treatment begins.

  • Brown and white puppy held in gloved hands by a person in teal scrubs

    Puppy and Kitten Care

First exams, the vaccine series, parasite prevention, microchipping and a time to talk about spay or neuter. Bring any records from the breeder or shelter.

  • Yorkshire terrier puppy held gently by an owner while a vet prepares an injection

    Vaccinations

First shots, boosters and the vaccines needed before boarding. Vaccines are given at an exam visit, often the same visit as the yearly exam.

  • Open treatment area with tiled floor, two lift tables, cabinets and kennels at the back

    Diagnostics, Dentistry and Surgery

In-house lab work, digital x-rays and ultrasound, dental cleanings, and surgery, including orthopedic surgery by a board-certified veterinary surgeon.

The people who care for your pet

Seven veterinarians and a board-certified veterinary surgeon work at the Main St hospital, so a vet who knows your pet can see you, and a surgeon is on hand when a pet needs an operation.
